Exploring Science: Wonders of Weather

Why does it rain? How do you measure the wind? How can we stay safe during a storm?

Let the Girl Scouts of Michigan Pine and Dunes Council help your class answer these questions and more through the “Exploring Science: Wonders of Weather” program. We'll share information and perform hands-on experiments and projects to explore various weather topics, such as rain, temperature, air pressure, wind, thunderstorms, and tornadoes.

Activities include:

  • Using actual weather forecasting devices to examine the day’s weather conditions
  • Creating weather tools for your class to continue forecasting the weather for the rest of the year
  • Observing demonstrations and explanations of weather phenomena
  • Understanding how to be safe during severe weather
